I went to Tybee Island beach with my 6 year old son today to spend some time with him and do a little detecting on the high tide line (we hit the beach at high tide). Pulled in some of the usual clad coins and these earrings. But the real treasures were the 2 matchbox cars that I found with the Equinox 800. When I found the first one, my son instantly became interested in my detecting and then a few minutes later found the second one and then he stopped playing in the water and running around while he followed me down the beach. Another boy came up to me and asked me what I was doing? (I get that a lot especially on the beach) So I told him what I was doing and then my son says, "yeah, and my Daddy found these today too" and shows the boy the matchbox cars proudly. Seeing his face light up when he picked up those toy cars from the scoops of sand was the best treasure that I could have found today. Ironically there could not have been any better treasure than a matchbox car for my son either. (ok, maybe a toy monster truck)
