U.S. box plate

Received my new Whites MXT through UPS two weeks ago and then purchased a 10x14 Excelerator coil for it to sweep vast tracts of land that was used during the Civil War... and on my second time out with it, found this nice ammobox plate! I was happy as a pig in you know what Thanks for looking!

Awesome find. I've only been fortunate enough to have searched one civil war site and all I was able to come up with was a few buttons. Of course I was hoping for a few more finds but no such luck. Congratulations. Keep the good finds coming. I'm sure there are a few more like that lying around.

A big thanks as well to my good buddy Ronin9868 who KNOWS how long I have been looking for one of these only to come up dry. He is a good friend and found some beautiful things including a perfect U.S. breastplate and many beautiful cannonballs...Point is he has been saying "you will break the dry spell" and I finally have.
