Hey SouthSide,
So I am not from Ukraine but I have been there three times (all over the country) Love it! I have friends mostly in Odessa. Also I am a metal detector enthusiast but have never taken a metal detector to Ukraine.
Next time I go (maybe sometime this year 2013) I would love to take my detector. Are you from there? Do you currently live in Ukraine? which part? Let's chat and see if maybe we could hook-up and give it a try however, you would know more about the laws etc. over there if you are from there. I think it would be a good idea to repeat this post to you in a personal email since it has been some time since you posted this. Take care.
