I went to he park where I got the 1890 IHP in hopes of more old coins.
The Only old coin found was a 1958D wheatie BUT found some cool relics.
Winchester ranger no 16 Headstamp
Western super X no 28 Headstamp
Peters H V no 12 Headstamp
.32 wad cutter fired bullet
1.51 in CLAD
The unexpected find was this 925 Silver snake ring. I was very excited to find this "beauty".

I need help to ID this old Lock. It has St Louis on both sides. Any help to ID this and put a date on it would be appreciated.

Love that ring! My silver snake ring has the snake going through two skulls, cool find. Love those old locks too, can't help ID but I like it!

Are you sure that's a snake ? There are no scales or anything that makes it look like a snake. It looks more like a swimming sperm but that is just my thoughts. Whether snake or sperm, congrats on your cool find.

Definitely a snake Rusty. Just a bad angle of the shot.

I can't confirm this info but if any padlock experts want to verify this, this is what I Found on the padlock:
The St Louis Padlock Lock was sold by Simmons Hardware Company of St Louis between the years of 1895-1909.

Nice Qaela4. That is it. Where did you find this picture?
Just typed "vintage St. Louis padlock" into Google, short and sweet usually works unless really, really scarce.

Nice finds! Congrats!

Cool ring and lock.

Seems right because my first impressions was early 1900s.

Very nice old lock! :occasion14:

Love the lock but, that snake ring is Sweet!!

I think it may be a Slaymaker or Slaymaker-Barry Co. lock. I know Simmons made the 1904 Worlds Fair commemorative locks, but not sure about this one. It is very much in the style of a Slaymaker.

But.....I'm wrong atleast once or twice a day!

Congrats on another good hunt Mark. :occasion14: That ring is killer, but reminds me of something other than a snake though.

I've never seen a snake ring like this, nor a lock. Hope someone comes up with an answer here.
