Hi all,
My partner and I had a pretty good weekend. We hunted alot and I mean alot.
Friday I found four Indian head pennies and my partner found two wheaties and
a 1905 Barber Quarter. I guess the funniest thing that happened Friday was a State
Patrol Car drove by where we were hunting and I waved at him and he waved back
and slowed down and then just kept driving. A little while later I looked up
and the State Patrol Car was back and he parked behind my van. He turned on his
lights, got out of the car and the first thing he said was
" what have you guys found?". Of course everyone that drove by thought we were
in trouble but the guy was just courious about what we had found.
The farmer who had given us permission saw the blinking lights from the crusier and he
came over to tell the officer that we had permission to hunt his property. We explained
what the officer wanted and we all had a good laugh.
Saturday my partner and I hunted at least 5 hours with very little success. I guess you
have that from time to time. I found a buffalo nickel, no date and a sleigh bell, small one
that still rings and a clock key. My buddy found a Union Pacific Good Luck coin. Of course
he didn't want it so I being the good guy I am took it off his hands.
