I actually found the same one...finally found out it was part of modern holloween costume.mine was very thin and easy to bend.

I'm sure they are found on a variety of clothing items or costumes. One that has lots of them on it is a belly dancer coin belt. I've found a couple here over the years, but kinda doubt anyone was doing any belly dancing around here (well, unless it was fat belly dancing)
