unknown brass US pin/button - SOLVED

found this interesting brass (?) item stamped "US". Not sure what it was to but the three prongs make me think a leather accoutrament of some sort. Measures about 1.25" . Any ideas what it's to?

What you have is a bridal rosetta and it is also used on other leather items. Made just before the turn of the 20th century.
