Hey everybody,

I was digging in a local park yesterday and dug a few wheat pennies and this large copper coin or token. It measures between 26.8 mm and 27mm, on one side you may be able to see some leaves, and the other side maybe some letters or a number. I have been trying to look up images online but just can't seem to be able to find it, anyone able to help on this?
I added photos and tried different angles of mystery coin. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dave

looks like a canada from the one pic , is it silver ? or copper ?

Definitely copper. Any suggestions on how to clean ?

Hello again,

I was able to identify this mystery coin, its a Montreal bank token minted in 1837 before canada became a federation.
