I recently found out that the area here in Hatfield, PA where I do my hunting is very near to some Revolutionary War activity sites in Whitemarsh and Whitpain Twps, so I am now second-guessing some of my previous finds...I mean, some of them don't look quite like what I thought they were. So now it's up to you guys...

This one is a copper strip that sort of has the shape of a rifle stock butt, but looks nothing like any of the butt plates I see y'all post that you've found. It looks like it was supposed to be hammered into something with the 5 tiny fastener holes.

EDIT: There are no maker's markings, and it's very thin, only a little bit thicker than the measuring tape shown.
