Unknown Hallmarks. ??

My daughter brought this TS find by for me to clean up. She gave $10 and change for it. I thought it was kinda old and I only saw a .925 mark on the bale and one .925 inside the locket on the pieces that hold the pictures inside. When I began to clean it saw on the outside a series of very tiny hallmarks, almost like British ones, but not quite. They read L-I for the first, which is most likely the maker, . .925 for the second. The third one looks like cross hairs in an oval. The fourth and last is a date mark that looks very British with a script U inside a square cut corner cartouche. I'm not finding anything quite like it and wondering if any of you have come across such Hallmarks before?

Yeah she use to go all the time on the hunt with me, before she grew up and moved away. She's got a good eye, but only looks once and awhile now as that she's got a pretty busy life on her own these days. I myself can't decide if it's 80 years old or 8. I'm sure all the info is there within the marks, but it's a hard one to crack. It does look well worn down from much cleaning and handling as the engravings, don't appear all that fresh, but still it could have once owned by someone who rubbed it down once a month? Stylistically I believe it's the first quarter of the 20th century imo.

I’m pretty sure the hallmarks are British import hallmarks. The one following 925 looks like the London import hallmark.

I did think that, but didn't find any images of that mark to verify what region it stood for, but I do think your right about it being a import marking. Somewhere I've got a David Anderson Scandinavian made piece that has his mark along with British hallmarks, but the Lion is replaced with .925

Yes, that’s the London import mark used between 1906-1998, although for some reason the sterling certification is from the Birmingham assay office with a date letter for 1994.
