Found this around the goldstream park area (goldstream heights) vancouver island anyone have an idea what it could be..

if the hardness is really close to 7, jasper. If it's noticeably lower (like around 5.5, similar to glass) it's argillite, which is what it looks like to me.

I also believe the Golden Flecks within the Stone...Are Gold!

Coming from such a beautiful place in BC Canada...Called Goldstream.
