I recently had a piece of gold jewelry made for my wife, and the smith sent back 14.7-grams of fine and flake gold he didn't have to melt down to complete the piece. This is prospected gold from the Weaver Mountains of Arizona.

I'm looking for a good-condition metal detector for my son down in Kentucky (although if it's nice enough and I don't have the model already, he may not get it for a couple months!). I'm going to send him my Mojave with the stock coil, and an 11" x 8" widescan coil also tuned to the machine by the factory. I'll keep the Minelab for a while. It used to be one of my most profitable silver machines when it first came out!
