(updated) Eureka!! 4th Hunt with new Excal pays off

Finally managed some shiney gold with my new excal 2 last night! As well as a huge silver ring, a couple junk earrings, and about $2.70 in clad. The silver ring weighs 9.6 grams and is stamped .925, italy, and PRIDE on the inside. The gold ring weighs 4.1 grams and is stamped 10k 5R on the inside. It also has 3 teeny tiny diamonds in it as well. It is also HUGE in diameter, fits on my thumb, and I cannot tell whatsoever what the pattern is on the top, but, im sure it will scrap nicely enough .

Cool nice rings. Is the silver one one of those spiner rings?

How has the new Excal been for you?

You will have the Excal paid for before you know it. Mine has paid for itself many times over.

I am not sure what a spiner ring would be. My wife thinks it is a gay or lesbian pride ring. I threatened to wear it in place of my wedding band(fits perfectly).

The part in the middle will spin around if it is a spinner ring. For example if you place it on your fourth finger, move your thumb over, it will spin the center around.

Still its a cool find, silver is silver, gold is gold, both are good

yes sometimes it's takes a little bit of cleaning to get them to spin as a grain of sand or whatever can get in them.

It is either dirty, or not a spinner, cant get it to budge at all.

put it in a vise and hit it with a hammer. If it doesn't spin then, it wasn't made to spin. sheesh, that was easy.

Wife and I found the silver ring online, and it is in fact a gay pride ring. scary thing is, I was gonna smelt it for 5 bucks or so, but, they are selling it for 95 bucks. ebay here i come!
