I was just watching the weather report, it looks like you'll be getting a big snow storm now...my dad grew up in New York, in Clarence Center. That happens to be the same town a jet crashed on a house, from icy conditions...must have been last winter(?).
As a kid, we used to wade the creeks there when visiting. Any creek you find on farm land which is shallow enough in summer for kids to play in, might be worth checking out. One of my uncles told me that when they were young...once they got into some old coins at an older relative's home down the road. These were very old coiins back then, but my uncles during their childhood play tossed coins various places in the creek. Thinking the coins could be found again, was supposed to be a game. Not even one coin could be recovered, all were lost. I think the name of the road is Salt(?) Rd and the coins were tossed just past the fence, downstream and the creek in a cow pasture. I thought I'd get to search sometime, but my grandma died and the farm was sold...someone else might as well try to search.
