US Military or Post Office ID Tag?

Hello All. I found this after work at a small town church lot.

Based on other items found nearby I am guessing it is some sort of military item...or is it US Post Office related?

Any info on its use and/or vintage is appreciated.

I was thinking the same but it is tiny and doesn't have enough info for a bag tag IMO. It does appear to have been attached to fabric or leather. Other finds with this (posted in Today's Finds) are mid 20th C.

CWS changed to Chemical Corps in 1946

Good call on both of those points Matt! I hadn't realized that the web belt piece was found too. Makes sense, as the part is from a WWI belt.

I commented on his post in Today's Finds which showed the web belt hook, many marbles, a cool token, and other items.
