US Plate

Found my first US plate! She's in pretty rough shape, but I'll take her! Hands off fellas!

I found this at an old rock house in NW Illinois. The house pre-dates the Civil War. I have to find out but there was something do to with the house and being perhaps a US Army outpost for some time, but I think this was after the War. I have to check in with the owner again on this one. I do know that President Grant had visited the home at one time.

I never thought I'd find one of these, as I hunt predominately NW Illinois. I figure stuff like this more likely shows up South and East of here!
