Lots of hard work in that piece, appears to be granite, small for a bolo, from the high degree of polish could possibly be a fastener for a leather bag.

I agree with net weight . The dime size gives it away. In Tennessee they are flat with the groves found along the Tennessee river. Very nice find !!

I would guess an ear spool, but that just my guess. I have seen some made from that material, and about the same size. Neat and unique for sure!
