Ute Lake State Park

Just thought I would share this info with the people on New Mexico or the traveler that wanted to maybe stop at Ute Lake S. P. to metal detect, I'm on my way home to Wi from AZ, thought I'd stop at the state park & metal detect some, before I stopped I called to see if it was ok to do that there, they said no it is not allowed, Hope this saves some of you the hassle of going there & finding out the hard way. HH

Thanks for the info seger. Seems like the fed and state gendarme's are saving all for themselves in the name of archaeological protection.
