Is the V8X coil even available yet? Yes the Nox coils work great on the Xterra Pro, I keep the coiltek 10x5 on my xterra pro 90% of the time.

I believe your correct. I can't find anything on the v8x anywhere. Looking for coils for the XTP and trying to save a few $s. I feel like i'm constantly changing coils with my 900. Both are really good machines(of course I don't need to tell you that😂) I mostly hunt old home sites, farms, fields, and of course good ole Tennessee back woods at the moment. The size of the coil makes a big difference and smaller is better. I knew the coils that came with my 900 worked well on the XTP but was unsure of the 600/800 series.

Yes I bought a 6" 600/800 EQX06 coil at first. The 6" coil is a sweet lil coil to run on the XTP. I sure wish thou, minelab would get the V8X & V10X coils to the market for us XTP owners. I reccomend picking up a used coiltek 10x5 if you run across 1 of them reasonable.

Are the V8X coils EVER coming for the Xterra??

I already owned the Coiltek 10x5 for the Equinox days and have had it on the XTP for a while now. Personally, I would have a very hard time buying one coil that costs more the whole Xterra Pro!

For less than half of the retail price of the entire XTP, the V8X (8x8") just fits better. It would be good to hear from users who has both the V8X and also the 10x5 Coiltek, and get performance from them. The 8x8" format on the V8X sounds interesting. If only Detech made an 8x6 coil for decent cost, and they have always done that. Loved that coil on all of my different brands of metal detectors.

Just too much money for that 10x5 IMPO in this situation.

18" coil....lmao

Has anyone used the V8X coil on the Xterra Pro? How do you like it? Where did you buy it? Do the Nox 600-800 coils work on the xterra?
Got mine arriving 2moro....£105.

Well, it's a cute coil. You really can't question the usefulness of a smaller coil. They're great for getting into places the bigger ones can't go. Also might help reduce swing weight a bit too.

I guess the odd question is, will that V8X coil work on an Equinox 800?

The 6" coil stays on my 800

iT'S AWESOME!!! - MUCH better than my Nox for parks....easily
PS: that was a fast 1 hour park hunt.

I just bought a V8X. Waiting for it to arrive. Are the VDI more stable?

My V8X coil arrived yesterday. Tried it on some known targets in my yard. IMHO, VDI is more stable than the factory 12" coil. I'll go to the park this weekend and use it to snag the coins I know are still hiding around the pavilion.
