I’ve just got home from taking a much needed east coast vacation and it seems that I can’t turn of my ”score” locater!
Before the trip, I was scouting out potential sales but only managed to locate 2-3 possible targets for the first Saturday morning of our trip. In spite of that, I was able to find a few things for a few bucks and start relaxing.
As the week progressed, I looked again and found some really neat looking sales at ocean front homes that were extremely old. The first one started on a thursday and I grabbed a few small things like a Snap On screwdriver, Kelly Works Axe, etc for 5 bucks. No pictures but once they arrive, I’ll post up a few. Friday morning netted me some unworn Danner boots, All Clad cookware, Patagonia/north face jackets and a new in box Wolf Countertop Oven. (Those retail for $750ish and it was untouched)
later that afternoon we decided to window shop in the nicer town 10 miles from our beach house and I discovered a non-advertised estate sale in a home built in 1780! 15 minutes of searching netted me some hand turned wooden trinket boxes by local artists, a 4 volume set of books printed in 1800 about the earths wildlife, with pictures, a small souvenir from Israel that was solid silver and (2) Sanborns of Mexico Sterling dishes. Those 2 plates are clearly marked and weigh north of 1 pound combined. I went back on Saturday and grabbed another Sterling dish/spoon for a total of 1lb 3 ounces of silver for 40 bucks.
I found lots more but will have to wait for photographs
