I am trying to figure out someplace to go next year with family I have a motor home and like good old campgrounds was thinking Mount Rushmore or pigeon forge area. I love history and would like to find some old civil war history,any suggestion.

Since you mentioned Pigeon Forge, I have to say the Gatlinburg area is my vote! I just love the whole area from there to Cherokee, NC.
