Thx Neil I was wondering about it because it really didn't sound like a Silver coin the size of a Quarter .At first I thought it was a worn Barber Quarter but the sound didn't fit C ya in the morn HH

Excellent find Ron.... WTG
That is the first silver Japanese coin I have
seen from this area. Congratulations on a great short hunt.

Great finds!!!WTG!

That Japanese coin is really neat! I'd be thrilled to find one of those.

nice find I would be intested in finding one of those also....Matt

Now you go and get me upset, by finding one of my favorite, and IMHO one of the prettiest Japanese coins that were made. >:( I buy as many of these as I can, to put in my collection, and look at their beauty. I have found one of that same coin here in S. Korea....but it was so beat up, it looked like a piece of tin....I threw it away, but my son.....smarter than me :icon_scratch:picked it up and brought it back to me.
So, it's in my collection, but not in too prominent a place.
Living in S. Korea now, but my hometown is in Oregon, Elgin, near LaGrande, on the dry side of the States.

Didn't you just love the Ducks and Beavers in football this year.....but, always the crummy beginning, getting beat by teams that they should beat.....(and we won't mention basketball, ok?) :'( >
Great finds. Keep posting, and keep me dreaming....
