I just bought a proof 1960 quarter, a 1943 Mercury dime, and 3 clad quarters (free 75 cents) on eBay for $9.59. Did I make a good deal, or is the proof quarter just worth melt by itself?

Well, I saw some proof 1960 quarters going on eBay for about $8+, so I figured even if I couldn't make a bunch on it, I still would have a cool coin.

The proof is worth $11 (in PF-65).

Instead of starting new threads asking the value of different coins, I have another question. I just bought 5 1909 wheat pennies (I don't think they are the VDB kind) for $3.80 total. All of the coins look to be in G-4 to VG-8 condition. Good deal or not?

Good deal. They are worth about $3 each. The VDB is on the back if you can't find it. The value with a VDB would be about $11-$13.
