Curious as to the value of this trunk? My family has had it for a while, it's been painted, so I assume not worth much. But could use some help. Thanks!
Thank you!I would agree that, although these are desirable statement pieces for home décor, it’s not likely to fetch more than $100 or so.
H. L. & E Wks is for the “Harrison Lock and Electroplating Works”. They made the lock, but not the trunk. The company moved from Harrison to Bloomfield NJ in 1915, so that’s the earliest possible date. More likely 1930s plus or minus a bit.
