Dug my deepest target yet with the V. I've dug coins at 10-11 inches before, but Sunday at an old home site I got a good solid signal, (both directions). So I started to dig, and I kept digging, finally at a measured 26 inches there was a rusty steel square bar about 1" dia. with a metal plate attached. I'll finish digging it next trip, it was getting late and I was beat. Can't think of what it might be, its a mid 1800s home site, the house was moved at the turn of the century. Everything I've dug in this area has been a maximum of 10 - 12 inches. Also dug a 36 cal. pistol round at about 6 inches. By the way I was using the stock coil, sens at 8, disc at Iron, target still sounded at full disc.

I have noticed with my V thatas long as you have the ground balance right it goes deep but in some areas you may move ten feet and have to do a slight adjustment. My deepest coin was an IH around 8 inches but it will go to china on brass . I have dug old shot gun shells at close to a foot.
