Hey folks, thought I'd give the Bandido a break today and try hunting a little deeper with my Vaquero. No silver coinage today, though I did dig a couple wheaties; they always make me happy. While looking for coins (and I dug fewer than my usual number), I came across somebody's creepy offering..and of course, I said thank you. Seems someone buried this as part of a whacky ritual. The knife is what I'd hit on, but the sage (?) cross with $ tied on and the rattle were all buried together, a couple inches under some twigs. Reminds me of "Blair Witch"..
The watch, bracelet, wind chime thing and an earring (I think) were in another spot, 50 yards away. The clover leaf lookin' thing is an old Girl Scout pin. The funny earring with the "sea mine" ball was in another location nearby, and it's marked 925, so I did find at least a little silver..
Interesting finds today, but not exactly what I was hoping for. I must say, that I missed the Bandido, too. The Vaquero is deeper, but it doesn't whisper those sweet nothings in my ears, like the Bandido does..
At least I got my daily wheaties; '44 and '48.
