I've never gotten any grief hunting ojibway, in fact, one of the city workers came up and asked me to look for a set of keys he lost there! The concert area is just riddled with trash. If you go to the outskirts you can find where all the vendors set up and money is exchanging hands. I once found 1.50 in the same hole on the end. A guy tells me that a few years back a gold coin was found near the entrance at the Henry Nouvel monument. That same guy found two standing liberty quarters in one hole. The oldest coin I've found there is a 1916 wheat penny. I think all the silver is picked over. By far the best place to hunt in Saginaw(besides construction sites) is Hoyt Park, in my opinion. That place is huge and full of trash that is masking coins. Twice I have dug a pull tab and then directly under it I found a masked silver coin, both mercs.
