Vending Machine Coin Hunt

Today my dad gave me all the change from his vending machine at work and to my surprise I found a 1940 nickel, 1964 D dime, 1959 D dime and lots of shiny 2014 quarters. Ok the quarters are not that interesting but was very pleased to pick up two silver dimes to start the year. Also, if someone can tell me how to upload pictures that would be great.HH

That's some pretty good dime finds out of change. I wish I had a source like that to look thru. The nickel looks like it has been around the block a few times .Good luck in finding more silver dimes.

I am surprised the vending machine excepts the silver coins. I've went through change in the vending machine 5 or 6 times now and have found 2 war nickels, 2 silver dimes, a proof bicentennial quarter and lots of Canadian coins. HH

I really don't know where you get that from. Every vending machine I know of still takes nickels. They are important because of the change from purchase factor also.

The vending machine had nickels, dimes, quarters and a gold dollar.
