To a town closer to the coast. I stopped at 5 banks total & found 41 total keepers along with a few interesting coins. There were 3 casino tokens, my first marked coin, another of the double stamped 1960/1980 toned coin and a very bent 1969 that made the roll looked like the end of an egg on one end. It is in the garage waiting on my husband to straighten it with a hammer. I will go back tomorrow to a few more of the banks...hopefully I can get to them all because it is not a very big town.

1-1943 Walker
1-1949-D Franklin
1-1964
38-40%

Does anyone mark their coins like the one in the picture?

Sounds like a great day. Those walkers sure are pretty. I've never seen a coin marked like the Kennedy was. Hope you have good luck tomorrow.

Great job, thats a wierd looking 91. Is that magic marker?

Yes, it looks like a magic marker. Like one of those permanent markers. It is the first marked coin I have ever come across.

Wish I could PatPall but the answer is no. I am having to go farther away from away from home to find new banks until my weekly boxes come in...can't make enough money at this...no benefits...one day the silver halves will run out...don't know when, but it will...it is a limited supply. Right now I am just enjoying the hobby and having fun with it. Like I mentioned in other posts....I plan on giving them to my grandchildren (which I don't even have yet) so it is just the thought of the future that keeps me doing it. It's been fun though.

BTW Tim...He has the hammers locked in a big red tool box on wheels. Guess he doesn't trust me huh...lol. I did help build a dog house....ha...and I used a hammer!

Before you take a hammer to it,it might be easier and safer to wrap a rag around it and put it in the bench vise.

I say use a rag because the teeth on the jaws might chew up the coin and remove some metal-valuable silver.

Silver is a lot softer than steel.

Better yet, put it between 2 pieces of wood and tighten it in the vise.

A measled Kennedy! ;D

Good going girl!

Ohhh, a Walker, Ben and mo' silver! ;D Congratulations once again! WTG!
