Hello folks,
My son got me a MD last week and I have been studying alot.
All around the Apt.s here total beeping. I figured this wasn't right.
Taped some ribbon to a few coins so I could find them easy by sight.
Went to a local park and listened to the different beeps with something I knew.
Then started looking other places in park. Imagine my surprise when I heard beeping! Found a gum wrapper! Hooray! NOT.
OK this is lame. Then a different noise. A necklass! OK this is going better!
Here is total find for the day. I did leave the gum wrappers there in trash.
I feel happy for first time try.
Joe

Great finds there. I'm pretty new to MD'ing as well. What's cool is the "first times" keep on coming

Hey thats not too shabby for a first time out - my first day got me five milk bottle lids and three cents. Well done!

Happy & very lucky in my books, might take awhile to beat that day.

Welcome from the UK

Nice job on the first hunt.

Say your prayers and be thankful for the great rosary.
Hey, I see you are from Aloha. I graduated from Vernonia
and also went to a couple of shools in Hillsboro. I still have
family out that way. Be thankful for living in "The Garden of Eden!!!
Can't wait to see you Second hunt!

I would say that is a MIGHTY fine first time out! Congrats!

Congratulation on your first time out, well done.Any mark's on the Rosary?HH!!

Nice first finds. But the rules are: You must give us details of the dig, depth, type of detector, indications, and closeup pics of goooooood stuff with view of back where it says gold/silver numbers or nothing. HaHa we really do like this stuff. A cheap magnifying lens in front of your camera will get you great closeups too.

Welcome to the great detector club...you got the fever yet....lol

Good job, get to know the sounds. There are some good books on m/ding, check out my dealer page for some of these. But you did good !!! WTG. Check out our Oregon get-together we are planning this summer.

Wow! Way to go!

Excellent first finds.
It was smart of you to do that testing too, with the coins.
That type of research helps you get to know the workings of
your detector, so you are not digging up a lot of trash.

I expect though you will see a lot of those pull tabs!

good job. Make yourself a search garden with coins, pop tabs, and everything else you can think of. bury them at differant depthes and try and find them. You'll learn your machine in no time.

Great first hunt! My recent first hunt produced some nice rusty nails and pull tabs. Great job and now your officially HOOKED!

a neclace on your first hunt ?
