Very Old Black Glass Button With Star Pattern, ID Help Please

Found this today while hunting old glass along a river. I've never seen one like it.

some history of glass buttons, guessing the buttons have been popular since that time
i google img searched ( black glass buttons),but didnt see a star, search just led to some history

Hey Larry,

That button looks to have been well tumbled in it's river voyages. I think it was a faceted button to begin, and that the details have been worn away.

Here's a few that I've been lucky to find:
