I found this not too long ago but never posted it. Dug it around 6" at a very old site and the only possible clue to its age is a 1873 newfoundland one cent that was very close to it. I never dug a ring anything like it. It's complete but it looks like the top piece had flaps that are now bent down. It would be cool to bend them back out to see it but my luck they would break off. Sorry the pictures aren't the best.
