Very strange medallion. Greek Orthodox Pendant

not sure if this is religious or not. The writing seems to be...hebrew? Russian?

Looks like the person is about to be decapitated on one side.

Any Ideas or deciphering of the words?

My guess is that it is a firefighters pendant with St. Florian, the patron Saint of firefighters and others. From what country I have no idea.

The lettering appears to be Greek, but I could be wrong.

I agree it is in Greek. I think the second image is of St. John the Baptist.

Solved.

Greek Orthodox pendant.

The guys who guessed greek got it right. One side is the baptism of Jesus and the other is the Nativity.
Had some fun with the greek to english translator in google
