I went out for about 20 minutes to a very small park tonight. I only hit the small swings area and the sand volleyball court.

I have searched volleyball courts before and always leave empty handed... Well not tonight!

Here is my only find on this hunt:

Well if you don't know... It's a super slim top loading Sony PlayStation 3! It was 100% buried in the sand... I was so surprised after I started digging... Unreal...

That's definitely a weird place to find that.

Like they say on pawn stars you never know WHAT is going to come under your coil!!!!!

Kids these days, bringing their video games to the park, discovering their is no outlet, and then out of frustration they bury their video game for fun and lose track of it. :laughing7: My theory anyway.

The obvious question is; Does it still work??
Congrats

I can only hope... but I have my doubts... It seems like it has been raining here forever. Maybe later this week I will clean it up. I will need to borrow some cords from a neighbor. I was always more of a Nintendo fan myself, but we do have a PS4 now that my kids wanted it. Pretty sure that power plug won't work though.

Maybe it was stolen & they had to hide it real quick ? Or they were playing a real bad joke on one of their friends & buried it.

Wow, that's something you don't see...?

I think the game they were playing really sanded their court and they was mad.

Probably some parent who got tired of their kid being a video game couch potato! Remember the YouTube video of the dad shooting his daughter's laptop with a .45 in the back yard? This may be the local burial ground for similar parent revolts!

That is weird, awesome, but weird.

Bet the story is a doozie!

certainly didn't expect a playstation when I opened the thread. Very unusual!

I also thought it might be stolen. I did not include the serial number in any of the pics for that reason.

even not working in horrible condition.. You can still sell it to game stop or on ebay for parts. Probably get 10-20 bucks for it.
