VIETNAM ANYONE??

Hello guys and gals just wanted to make an inquiry about Vietnam. I tried to contact Thaddeus with no luck because i read a few posts where he mentioned it. I am onto a little quest with me , my wife and her father who are from there. Basically im trying to see how strict they are with treasure hunting or should i say mineral, jems and metal detecting maybe in the caves or mountains. Also trying to see how to go about getting through customs should any luck arise during the hunts. I have heard there are remote places to score certain stones and metals. Thanks in advance, A

I'll be following your thread, Nofd, as I'm moving to Hanoi in July. I'll be bringing all my gear so I'm hoping there will be MD opportunities there. I know the beaches are fair game but I'm hoping that I can do some land hunting without getting blown up by unexploded ordnance.
