Came across an old trunk at a garage sale that was locked and it happened to have these army helmets inside of it , I have spent some time researching them and think they are tank helmets (the two)!but I’m on able to figure out an era or find anything all that similar, a little help would be greatly appreciated , thanks

i would have bought that in a nano second how could they have not broke it open

korean war helmates? the one with the star looks like a japanese ww11 reissued during koreanwar

Very cool,, the mystery of the locked trunk,
I too would have bought it.

If you would, please post pics of the helmet liners, and look for any marks stamped on them. I have a couple ideas but i need more pics to confirm

Great find ! I would have snapped that trunk up in a heart beat.

Congratualtions! :icon_thumleft:

Yup more detailed pictures needed. The M1 helmet that’s the first one to the left in the picture will be real easy to date if you show the heat stamp, bails, liner and rim seam position. Since it may be repainted than you cant go by the type of paint anymore. Im pretty good at dating the M1 helmets! [emoji106]
