My question is

Is it worth $55 to have it dry cleaned and re-dyed? It is "dirty". I have $3 into it. Thanks all for any help!

I don't know about a suede jacket like that but my understanding is the jeans with the upper case E on the tag (like yours) sell for pretty good money.

I asked the cleaner the same thing on the phone. She said it's like a conditioner that treats the suede to keep it soft?? Not sure if it's an actual "dye". I need to do more research....

I just found this one. The seller states he had it cleaned and it sold for a lot more. Im indecisive on this one!! I kind of want to keep it to. Lol

Your jacket is in excellent vintage shape from what I can tell. Cleaning is more of a liability than an asset IMO, since something can go wrong in the cleaning process, especially in less-than-experienced hands.

The other seller who said he had his cleaned -- are those eBay pictures "after" the cleaning? If so, his jacket must've been beat to a pulp in the "before" stage. Yours looks to already be in much better shape than the one that sold.

I would not have it cleaned. Let the buyer do so on his dime & at his risk.

Plus, aren't many buyers of this Japanese? They want it 'as is' I think.

It's on ebay now. I didn't clean it and it has bids, I think it's around $53 now with 2 days left. I started it low because my buy-it-now was obviously to high. As much as I like it I would probably never wear it and don't need more stuff in the closet.
