here at home my tv watching is mostly pre recorded. regular tv has too many commercials to interest me. so ive got a lot of videos and dvds.recently my old reliable vhs machine had started to give problems. jumping frames etc. so i needed a new tape player. been checking feebay but figured i could do cheaper at a thrift store. thought about new but i knew u can only get a combo player now with dvd. a friend gave me a combo unit several yrs ago when they were pretty expensive but it broke almost immed. back to thrift store.several places wont let u test the vcr fully. garage sales are pretty much over for the yr due to weather. so testing at afew thrifts found only garbage. what to do. i had just about made up my mind to do feebay. then today i got to the auction and viola. a lot of 7 various vcrs being offered. great. wonder how much. auctioneer sez. choice on them for a dollar.so i bid. got 3 for 3 dollars. some other fellow bought one for a buck also. absolutely no interst in the remaining 3 so i got 3 more for 33 cents each. these might not seem like a great treasure .but because absolutly millions of vhs tapes were sold. there seems to still be a market for these on feebay. for value look for older big models with manual tracking..i guess folk want these due to tape deterioration.many times a poor quality tape cannot be viewed on a newer machine which will just refuse to play,or go bluescreen.with manual tracking can still view. if u dont think these are rare try finding. in newer models look for 4 heads.hq circuitry and front av inputs. hope u can find some treasures.
