Cache Hunting
Recently while driving I had noticed a members only neighborhood swimming pool in our area. Why I had never tried this location before is beyond me (been driving near it for 7 years) but Monday afternoon (52*) I decided to swing a little before it turned cold. This pool was built in the early to mid 60's. First coin 3' in from the parking was a quarter. Long story short no one has ever detected this area. I pulled out 24 quarters, 19 dimes, 7 nickels, and 39 pennies. I was so tired after 2 1/2 hours I was skipping dimes for quarters. Everything was clad but I barely broke the surface. Now that subfreezing weather is here I'll have to wait a while before I can get at it again. My goal is to thin out the clad and hopefully get to the silver which I'm sure is there due to it's age. I've been coin hunting for 30 plus years but this is the first time I've ever gotten into something like this. Now that's fun!

Gets the old adrenalin going when you are digging like that.

Well Done!!

Yes it was fun but the caviot was, since I wasn't used to doing it on a regular basis, I could hardly move the next two days. My thigh's were killing me. But I'm ready to go again now!!

keep on diggin

Looking forward to seeing the silver you pull out of there. I am sure it is down there!

That's the way to do it! Surely after you get all that clad out of there, the silvers will be below. Great job and fun. HH Shane
