Went out with my buddy Gigmaster on a couple river hunts this month as well as some farm permission hunts. We found some really cool stuff each place we went and you can see some of it on 4 different videos here:

Farm Hunts:
#1: This was in an area that had some civil war activity and some confederate fighting positions along a creek that borders the farm. Lots of trash in the creek but I did pull a once gold plated wedding ring right at the base of where one of the entrenchments used to be. Don't know if it's civil war period but it's deff old. The best pull from the farm this day was the 1916 Barber dime in great shape. Gigmaster has dug 3 ring minnie balls here as well as a few Reales and cobs.

#2: Back to the same farm, best finds for me this day was what somone ID'd as a sword scabbard piece (poss civil war?), a buffalo nickel and another gold plated, more modern ring that once had some kind of stone in it but has been plow struck more than once!

River Hunts:
#1: This was in some spots that have produced some good civil war relics in the past and near some old forts that were along the river. I only found an old button (trashed) tghis day but Gigmaster found an awesome 1865 2 cent piece in great shape. We also hit some spots for marine fossils and I brought home a few clam shells and some whale vertebra that are millions of years old.

#2: This was "mission accomplished" (see his video) for me. I dug my oldest coin to date and my second but first identifiable US large cent dated 1854 as well as a 1908 Barber Dime, 3 ring minnie ball, a colt pistol bullet, a Spence Carbine cartridge, a wheat penny, buffalo nickle and a small silver do-dad with a star or flower on each side, I think part of an earring. I also dug an OLD grubbing hoe (I believe) not sure if it was cast or forged but it is about 10"long, 5" wide at the working end and 2.5" at the base. Anyone know how old it is?
Gigmaster found a great 1834 1/2 dime on this hunt and it was in awesome shape!
