Hello everybody,
Im in Las Vegas right now and i was wondering if there are any panning sites or areas within driving distance from Vegas. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you can go to one of their meetings while you are there,they have some terrific raffles and door prizes.They also do demonstrations of equipment.

Head down south of Boulder city to Eldorado Canyon. Little place there called Nelson. Check for claim markers, though.

I was in Nelson at the little mining camp and tour place. They will let you use a metal detector if you don't mind a lot of junk. The owner had a big fat nugget on a chain around her neck that she found in the mine. One of the oldest gold mines in the area.

Im back home now... seems i didnt have time to go MDing or prospecting
got too caught up in the casinos and the shows but i will surely use these suggestions for future reference
With flights at $90 each way to vegas i hope to return to the area soon.
