Volume control on the 250 ?

Jeepers. It sure would be nice to have a volume control on the 250. Does anyone else think it rings a little too loud? I tried using headphones in the back yard so as not to distured the neighbors. But, man with the headphones on it nearly blows my ears out. Perhaps I need a pair of headphones with a volume control on them.

I don't own a 250 but have seen a million people here talk about using headphones with volumn control because that machine is so loud.

Yes, you have to have headphones with a volume control. Try Radio Shack for a functional, cheap pair (with a long cord).

i have heard of people putting strips of duct tape over the speaker hole to muffle it. i do use headphones w/volume control

I use some cheapie headphones and just hang them around my neck.

I put my earphones around my neck instead of my ears. Makes it so you can hear whats going on around you too.

I bought my Ace250 from Kellyco and it came with volume control headphones...thank goodness. Because it is way too loud and the batteries don't last nearly as long without headphones.

Charles Garrett wanted to have a decent machine for a price that everyone could afford, so he left out a volume control. The buyer has the choice to purchase whatever style of headphones he/she needs, and it is a good idea to get a pair with the in line volume control.

There is a fairly easy way to add a volume control if you know how to solder and can understand Polish language. Actually you can get by without the Polish. It is all on You tube video.
