Has anyone detected the washington and old dominion trail in virginia, i never have gotten a chance to go down there, but the trail is kind of old.

That trail is part of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, I believe, and would be off limits. It goes through lots of great land, though, and would be worth a look and some door knocking.
