WANT TO DREDGE IN THE NC TRIAD

My sons and I have been running two 5" dredges in the mountains this summer and have had a great time. We plan to continue. We live near Winston Salem and would like to dredge in the area. My reading and map study have not been helpful for this area. The closest areas that show gold are south of Greensboro and west of Mocksville, but nothing else verified by the ncgs. My son and I would like to meet some local folks and fellow dredgers in the Triad and learn more about what there might be or is close to home.

Check on Google Earth with a MDRS database kml file... it appears that the closest area to you is the US 70 corridor north east of High Point. Attached is a JPEG of the Google Earth image.
