I will keep ya posted! So far not too much luck, waiting on reply from a military(U.S.Gov.)site...Thanks for intrest!!! any suggestions? HH ALL!!!

Thanks for what you are trying to do BUT we are losing 1000 world war two vets per day to death. In many cases it is the family that is selling these photos because they just don't want them. I get many at estate sales.

:notworthy:,I agree w/you 100% as my DAD was(IS!!!) A WW2 Combat vet.SeaBee 39th.Saipan,These photos were among my mothers item's...The worst case scenerio is the local VA hospt.has a "WALL OF HONOR" were item's of all sort's of item's are donated,That is where these will go whith-in a month or so!Thank's for your intrest...I buy ALL vet images i see at ANY sale!!! HH ALL!!!&THANK'S :icon_thumright:

I gave some photos of locals to the Wall of Honor at the courthouse and after two months they took them down. I hope they didn't throw them away but I didn't ask because if they did me and officer friendly would be having a talk. I've begun trying to make action photos available to authors and historians - I figure that more people will see them that way - but have had limited success. Until I get a good outlet for them they will remain in my possession and be shown to anyone who wants to see them. Several times i have bought military dog tags at pawn shops and returned them to the family and then found them again at the same pawn shop. That time I bought them and kept them. siegfried schlagrule

:icon_thumright:,I to had thought of the courthouse but was afraid of what you said happened to yours(hopefully they are archived!)my sister is a bigshot at local VA&she said they just rotate items&keep/archive all that is donated. It's a damm shame that some people do not realize how IMPORTANT these items are :icon_scratch:,But thankfully there are some(like YOU!!!)people who know...I'll keep all posted! :notworthy:,tokenhead
