You can always use a 3/4" PVC socket cap. I picked up a couple from the local Home Depot and have been using them for a couple of years.

Also found that 1" Waxman Furniture Chair Tips #0067013 from Lowes work really well. They cost $1.47 for a pack of 4 at the store.
