Looks like it's suppost to get to the upper fifties again here in Southern Minnesota..Indian summer, gotta love it. Anyone going out?
I'm packed and should be leaving within the hour. I think I'm going to rehit a place that turned up some old brush buried barbed wire, stuff look really old, still solid though. It's the diamond shaped barb with hole, slid over one of the wires prior to twisting, haven't seen this in this area before. I'll post a couple of pics when I get back.

Thats different than the norm, I wonder if that also means it's old too?

snow is staying on the ground up North-- packed My Garrett and equipment away.
Looks like hunting over for Me till next year!! :-[ :-[ :-[

Not me man, I played hookie yesterday and got out. It's a little chilly but snagged a few pennies......Woo hoo

I put my detector away last November, but now its warm enough, and the ground has started to thaw.
I might just have to dig it out of hibernation one more time before winter really sets in.
If this is global warming, bring it on!

No kidding, I swear I just took the battery out and was going to put it away
in early Dec. and then the warm up came.

Had My MD packed away till this week. Went detecting for a short
while to a old townsite with "Dig-it". He found some clad and I thought
I'd found a nice gold ring, too bad just a cheap plated one. hope to
try My luck agian this weekend. Isn't this warm weather great??? ;D

There are five very old houses that were recently boarded up near me. I thought that maybe this weekend I could check them out. Yesterday there was heavy equipment parked on some of the lawns and some deep ruts where the tractor had driven around. They also tore one house down already. Today there is a 6' high chain link fence all around all the properties. :'(
This area dates back to the 1860's. The houses are on 3rd Avenue which used to be the old Dubuque to St. Paul stage road.
:'( :'( :'(

Oh man, that would be cool.

I suppose it would be way to obvious jumping a 6' fence with a detector in hand. ;)

I would imagine it might be tough to get permission if not too late.

Boy BK...I think I'd find someone and ask, can't hurt, the ground here is hard but still digable, put on a santa hat, you'd be a shoe in. LOL...
