Warners Old Farm House In Garrett County MD along US RT 40, soon to be torn down was a mansion owned by the Warner family. Slaves had quarters in the basement and chains had remained there from the past untill 1960's.

Interesting post, this is in the area my ancestors settled in back in the mid 1700's. In fact we have some relatives named Savage through marriages
many, many years back. Great story for me , thanks for posting.
