wartime silver to close out the year!

had 2 hrs to burn today n the weather was perfect, headed to the park n my very first signal was a 43 war nickel, silver #67 on the year and likely the last silver of the year for me!!, i also got 3 wheats and a little clad, not a bad way to end 2014!!, I may try my cornfield tomorrow though well see, thanks for looking and hh!!

I think I should have written Santa and asked him to bring me a war nickel next year, lol. I read about coins that people who have been detecting for 15-20 years haven't found and I have. Maybe war nicks will be my coin I'm still waiting on in 15 years. Good luck tomorrow if you go. Is that a flat button or a toasted clad quarter?

I don't know, I think it might be, looks like a spot from a shank that possibly broke off the back, its thin, about the size of a nickel and rang in at 60-62

Looks like you had a great year.

This was my best year in my short detecting "career", I've been at it since summer of 2012, and I'm on my 3rd detector already, I'm itching for #4 (etrac). I got the most silver yet this year (67) last year only 30
