Was the day before Christmas

Haven't been out for a few weeks due to weather and my fathers health. So today the sun started peaking out and it wasn't freezing. Went down to the old schoolyard not expecting much as I got skunked the last time, was hoping for a little silver to end the year. Targets are slowing down there as I have been pounding it on weekends with many great finds . My second signal was a bouncy 12-14 on the nox, thought probably pop top pull tab or nickel. Boy was I surprised when this 14K ring pop out at about 5-6 in. I stuck around for a while with no good or deep signals. Dug a few wheaties and a bunch pull tabs and other trash, so I left after a 1 1/2 hour hunt feeling very satisfied.
